INTRODUCTION:

Enterprises resource planning serves as a cross-functional enterprise backbone that integrates & automates many internal business processes and information systems. Its helps companies gain the efficiency, agility, & responsiveness needed to succeed and gives a company an integrated real-time view of its core business processes. Enterprise Resource Planning is the latest high end solution, information technology has lent to business application. The ERP solutions seek to streamline and integrate operation processes and information flows in the company to synergise the resources of an organisation namely men, material, money and machine through information. Initially implementation of an ERP package was possible only for very large Multi National Companies and Infrastructure Companies due to high cost involved.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:

  • To analyze the enhancements required for the current manual system and to design an automated system.
  • To study about ERP and its relevant importance
  • To include a search engine
  • To know about the ERP implementation and its likely outcomes if not implemented properly.

 

 

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:

The existing software of the concerned company is not efficient. The expected productivity is not obtained from the system. The employees are finding it difficult to use.

 

The need for the project work aroused due to the expansion plans of the company in meeting the large contracts of the industry.  The existing being a manual one, have lot of limitations and disadvantages. Hence the following objectives are laid for the proposed system, which tends to avoid the disadvantages and improve effectiveness efficiency.

 

LITERATURE REVIEW:

 

After 1990s many organizations around the world have been implementing ERP system to have a uniform information system in their business and to reengineer their business process. Many operating and manufacturing organization have been able to achieve high levels of performance in today competitive environment by using various IT tools that automate their routine organizational activities.

 

ERP systems work as background information and solve problems by providing integrated information fragmentation of all information flowing across corporate functions and other business units, across organizational units and geographical locations in the world. According to Wallace and Kremzar (2001), enterprise systems that link customers and suppliers of a supply chain computer, using proven success for decision making, and coordinate sales, marketing , operations, logistics, purchasing, finance, product development, and human resources, using proven success for decision making, and coordinate sales, marketing, operations, logistics, procurement, finance, product development, and human resources. It manages all the enterprise processes in a coordinated method, and provides timely and reliable information in order to senior management to make the right decisions in a timely manner. It isn’t a information system that’s with functionality of business, data, and for the generation of reports. It is complex, expensive, and difficult to implement.

 

Bradford (2008) pointed out some advantages of using ERP e.g. limited interfaces with single application architecture, lower costs if integrate successfully, access of information across a mix of applications, sole system to support organizational procedures and tasks, removal of small and unnecessary systems, automation of tasks with high impact and allow access to realtime data support of multiple currencies and languages for multinational, support for wide range of industries oil and gas, health care, chemicals, banking and power industries etc.

 

 

 

 

METHODLOGY TO BE USED:

 

RESEARCH DESIGN:

Research design simply means a search of answers to questions and solutions to problems.  It is a prospective investigation. Research is a systematic and logical study of an issue or problem through scientific method.

Other hand a research design is the arrangement of condition for the collection and analysis of data in a manner that aims to combine relevance to the research purpose with economy in procedure.  There are various research designs, but descriptive and analytical research design is most suitable for this study.

 

 

DATA COLLECTION DESIGN

Data would be collected with the help of using questionnaires. A questionnaire, which is also known familiarly as an interview schedule with a format containing a list of questions sequentially order to obtain information relevant to the objectives of the study. Structure and undisguised questionnaire was chosen as the questions could be presented with exactly the same order to all the respondents.

The questionnaire for research will be  included a combination of the following kinds of question

  • Close-ended
  • Direct question

 

DATA COLLECTION:

Primary source:

The researcher will be collected the data directly from sample respondents through direct interview method and with the help of structured questionnaire.

 

Secondary source:

The secondary data for the study will be collected from various journals, survey reports, books and magazines.

Sampling technique:

The employees of the concerned company will be taken as a sample and will carry out the study.

There are different design technique will be included:

An important processing system must be functional in design, it must supply information quickly, eliminate duplication of effort and takes and must make effective user of people, technology and procedures.

SAMPLE SIZE:

A sample size of hundred will be taken in order to carry the study.

SAMPLING TECHNIQUE:

In this study, systematic random sampling will be used for selecting samples.

POPULATION: Employees of Dudhsagar Dairy.

TARGET RESPONDANTS: Employee of of Dudhsagar Dairy.
