INTRODUCTION :-

             HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT is an integrated Hospital Information System, which addresses all the major functional areas of multi-specialty hospitals. The HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT enables better patient care, patient safety, patient confidentiality, efficiency, reduced costs and better management information system. It provides easy access to critical information thus enabling the management to take better decisions on time. It also takes care of the ward, medical, invoice and the doctor’s appointment details. The system generates the daily ward availability, the status of the operation theatres and ICU.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE

  • To computerize all details regarding patient details & hospital details.
  • To automate the process of ward entries.
  • To maintain records effectively.
  • To manage current status of staff and doctor availablity.
  • The project has information regarding the inpatient details, outpatient details, Billing details and Ambulance details.
  1. PROBLEM STATEMENT (INCLUDING LITERATURE REVIEW)

Problem Statement:

  • Lack of immediate retrievals: –

The information is very difficult to retrieve and to find particular information like- E.g. – To find out about the patient’s history, the user has to go through various registers. This results in inconvenience and wastage of time.

  • Lack of immediate information storage: –

The information generated by various transactions takes time and efforts to be stored at right place.

  • Lack of prompt updating: –

Various changes to information like patient details or immunization details of child are difficult to make as paper work is involved.

  • Preparation of accurate and prompt reports: –

This becomes a difficult task as information is difficult to collect from various registers.

 

  • Eliminate re-registration :-

Keeping a centralized data and share it across the network of hospitals

LITERATURE REVIEW:

Online clinic Management System is a software product suite designed to improve the quality and management of hospital management in the areas of clinical process analysis and activity-based costing. Online clinic Management System enables you to develop your organization and improve its effectiveness and quality of work. Managing the key processes efficiently is critical to the success of the hospital helps you manage your processes.

Product perspective is essentially the relationship of the product to the other products, defining if the product is independent or is part of a larger product (dependent), and what the principal interfaces of the product are.

This software is totally independent system that manages activities of the COS as taking appointments, generating patient reports, personnel management and administrative issues.

In this project all the records are stored in single database. Different users have different permission to access this web application. Each user has unique id. If any data is lost user is having option to recovery. User’s don’t have right to alter records after particular time period and also it is not having option to alter other patient records.

  1. Registration:

This module records basic patient related information, which is collected when the patient visits the hospital for the first time. Each patient is allocated a unique patient identification numbers also known as Patient ID.

    1. Patient Details:

It keeps track of all details about both in-patient and out-patient. Patient id, patient name, address, admitted date, admitted time, doctor name, room no are entered in a form and stored for future reference.

    1. Outpatient:

This module manages activities related to patient who visits the Hospital Resident Doctor or Consultant Doctor for Medical Consultations, diagnosis and treatment.

    1. Inpatient:

Admission request will be made here. Request for admission is made before patient admitting the hospital.

  1. Consultation Details:

This module contains the details for the inpatient/outpatient which includes disease name, type of treatment and medicine given to them. This include all the inpatient/outpatient which can be accessed or made appointment for the resisted patient.

  1. Search patient details:

 This module helps to search and view the patient information and details.

  1. Check Out (Out patient Check Out)

 This module helps to check out the in patients from the hospital.

  1. Doctor profile:

This module includes the modules to add, edit and to delete the doctor details. It also includes the module to check the availability of the doctor as well

  1. Room Details:

This module enters and stores the details about each ward of the hospital for future reference. Room detail can be viewed in the table using room number .The attributes used in storing a room details is room number, type, availability of rooms.
